Log in, enroll, and complete the requirements above through real work across True Platform and Studio. Progress is tracked automatically, and there is no exam.

Q: Do I need to complete any courses?

Courses are not required, but each requirement is backed by a short course. If a step is new to you, learn it there first, then apply it.

Q: How do I build real skills with these requirements?

Treat each requirement as a real engineering task, not a box to tick. The skill is in the process: how you structure the automation, connect it to the platform, scale it, and read the results. These are the same things a testing lead does, building and running automation, wiring up integrations, and turning results into decisions, done here with AI in the loop and with intent. Q: Can I change the name on my certification after completing?

Yes, you can. Simply go to your user dashboard and click on the Edit name button.

What if I’m new to Katalon?

This is the advanced tier, so don’t jump straight in. Start with the coursework behind each requirement, or build up with a more foundational certification first, then come back to the Expert once you are comfortable in the product.

Is this just completing tasks, or real capability?

Real capability. Every requirement is a genuine engineering job that asks you to make decisions: how to structure automation, what to centralize and trace, why a test failed. The requirements are backed by courses, so you can learn any concept and apply it immediately. You come away with real experience across the platform, not a checklist.

How is this different from the True AI Tester?

They cover different ground. The Tester is manual testing with AI; the Expert is automation and scale across a team. Choose the one that matches the work you do.

Is it free? Do I need a paid plan?

The certification is free to pursue. You will need access to both Katalon True Platform and Katalon Studio to complete the hands-on requirements.

How long does it take?

It depends on your pace. This certification is more involved than the True AI Tester because it spans automation, centralization, scale, and reporting. There is no deadline, so you can work on your own schedule.

How long is it valid, and can I renew it?

Two years from the issue date. You can re-earn it any time by completing the current requirements again.
